The next puzzle we have been sent as part of the Ravensburger Puzzle Club is Christmas Fair. This puzzle is suitable for ages 6 and up.
Girl hasn't done any puzzles with any more than 100-150 pieces so I was interested to see how she would get on with this one.
Using the Ravensburger Puzzle Store we sorted the pieces into edges and different areas of the jigsaw by putting them into the sorting trays of the puzzle store. Once we'd got the edges into place on the board we were soon on a roll.
The picture is a quaint and colourful Christmas scene and reminded me of Where's Wally as there was so much going on within the picture! This did not hinder Girl's ability to put the puzzle together though. There are children on a merry-go-round to spot, Santa's grotto, Santa's sleigh and his reindeer, carol singers and a build a snowman competition and many other things to look at. It's a really lovely puzzle for children and families and when we'd finished Middle came along to have a look at the picture and was able to test his observation skills by taking in all that was going on in the scene.
The puzzle is made of thick, strong cardboard and the pieces were of a good size. Not too tiny for little fingers. We weren't in a rush and we finished it in just under an hour. Girl did have some help from me but if she had been left to her own devices then I am confident she would have been able to finish it.
We can definitely recommend this for children and their families.
